Fulbright Schuman Program – Pushing boundaries through knowledge
The Fulbright Schuman Program fosters exchange and collaboration between the European Union and the United States in the fields of research and education. In our promotional video, we bring the power of knowledge sharing and the program’s impact visually to life.
Testimonial Video for Fulbright Schuman: Visualizing Transatlantic Impact
At Lowlite, we translate personal stories into inspiring imagery. For the Fulbright Schuman Program, based in the European capital of Brussels, we produced a powerful promotional video. This prestigious program fosters exchange between the EU and the US in the fields of research and education. Through in-depth interviews and cinematographic footage, we mapped the impact of these grants on the lives of researchers and students.
A testimonial video is the ideal tool to build trust and demonstrate the added value of a program like Fulbright Schuman. We combine authentic testimonials with high-quality B-roll footage to take the viewer on a journey of pushing boundaries, knowledge sharing, and international diplomacy.
Our Approach
Creating an inspiring testimonial video in 4 phases:
- Phase 1: Strategy and story selection
- Phase 2: Interview preparation and visual storytelling
- Phase 3: Production in Brussels: Interviews and B-roll
- Phase 4: Editing and emotional post-production
How we brought the Fulbright Schuman story to life
Phase 1: Strategy and story selection
In a testimonial, everything revolves around the right match. In collaboration with the Fulbright team in Brussels, we dived into the essence of the program:
- Which alumni have a story that inspires the broad target audience (students, researchers, and professionals)?
- How do their experiences reflect the core values of EU-US relations?
- What message should the viewer take away after watching the video? This preparatory phase is crucial to creating a promotional video that not only informs but also moves the audience and encourages them to apply for a grant.
Phase 2: Interview preparation and storytelling
A good interview is not a game of question-and-answer, but a conversation. We prepared a guide focusing on:
- The personal growth and professional breakthroughs of the candidates.
- Visualizing abstract concepts such as "transatlantic cooperation."
- Planning the B-roll (atmospheric footage) that supports the story and makes the video visually appealing.
Phase 3: Production in Brussels (Interviews & B-roll)
The recordings took place in a professional setting in Brussels, reflecting the academic and diplomatic character of Fulbright Schuman:
- We utilized a high-quality lighting setup to capture the interviewees at their best.
- During the interviews, we ensured a relaxed atmosphere, resulting in sincere and authentic statements.
- Our videographer captured cinematographic B-roll that symbolizes the dynamics of research and international travel.
Phase 4: Editing and post-production
In the editing phase, we merged the interviews and footage into a single, fluid story:
- Selecting the most powerful quotes that hit the core of the program.
- Using color correction and music that reinforces the project's inspiring and hopeful tone.
- Adding graphics that visually clarify the link between the European Union and the United States. The result is a video that not only demonstrates the program's benefits but also truly makes the viewer feel that they, too, can push their boundaries.
