SG3 – Campaign Video Sport Governance Game
SG3 (Sport Good Governance Game) is a European three-part initiative that trains sports managers to become ethical leaders: a realistic computer-based awareness game, a workshop, and an action-plan template to recognize and address integrity risks—ranging from doping and match-fixing to gender inequality. The campaign video directly addresses sports managers with pointed questions and motivates them to take action.
Campaign Video for SG3: Ethical Leadership in the World of Sports
At Lowlite, we believe that video has the power to drive change. For SG3 (Sport Good Governance Game), an international initiative that trains sports managers to become ethical leaders, we created a compelling campaign video. This European project — often coordinated from centers of expertise in cities like Brussels — offers a comprehensive package: an awareness game, workshops, and action plans to safeguard integrity in sports.
The world of sports is professionalizing at a rapid pace, and with that comes an increasing need for good governance. Through strategic video production, we bridged the gap between the principles of business governance and the unique challenges on the playing field. From combating match-fixing to promoting gender equality: our video encourages sports executives to engage in self-reflection and action.
Our Approach
Developing a social campaign video in 4 phases:
- Phase 1: In-depth exploration of sports ethics and integrity
- Phase 2: Concept development: the mirror between sports and business
- Phase 3: High-impact video filming and visual direction
- Phase 4: Post-production and a powerful Call-to-Action (CTA)
How we visually launched the Sport Good Governance Game
Phase 1: In-depth exploration of sports ethics
For a project like SG3, nuanced content is crucial. We dived deep into the subject matter of this European three-part initiative:
- What are the biggest risks for modern sports managers (doping, match-fixing, financial transparency)?
- How exactly does the computer-based awareness game work?
- Who is the target audience we need to activate within international sports federations? This thorough analysis in the pre-production phase allowed us to create a video that strikes the right chord with executives in Brussels and beyond.
Phase 2: Concept: The mirror between sports and business
To address sports managers directly, we chose a confrontational and challenging concept:
- Formulating sharp questions: "Are you transparent? Are you accountable?"
- Drawing visual parallels between the boardroom and the sports field.
- A script that emphasizes the urgency of good governance without being pedantic. This concept forms the core of the campaign video, inviting viewers to prove their own leadership in the SG3 Game.
Phase 3: High-impact video filming
During production, the focus was on a sleek, professional aesthetic that exudes authority:
- Use of powerful image compositions that support the seriousness of the themes (such as integrity and ethics).
- Direction focused on a dynamic pace to hold the attention of the modern manager.
- Capturing imagery that shows the synergy between technology (the game) and human action (the action plan).
Phase 4: Post-production and activation
In the editing phase, we brought all elements together for maximum impact:
- A rhythmic edit that builds tension toward the final call-to-action.
- Adding graphic elements that reinforce core values (democracy, transparency, social responsibility).
- Sound design that underscores the professional and urgent tone of the campaign. The result is a video that not only informs but truly motivates sports executives to participate in the Sport Good Governance Game.
