Solora Energy Services – Large-scale solar energy in focus
Solora Energy Services is an expert in the operation & maintenance of solar parks and delivers comprehensive renewable projects for companies fully committed to sustainable energy. In this video, we showcase a series of impressive solar installations on rooftops, car parks, and industrial sites.
Drone Video for Solora: Capturing Industrial Solar Parks on a Grand Scale
At Lowlite, we bring the future of energy to life visually. For Solora, the leading specialist in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of large-scale solar installations based in Merelbeke (Ghent), we produced an impressive drone video. Through this production, we showcase the massive scale and technical perfection of their projects on industrial rooftops, car parks, and large-scale solar parks.
Solora provides peace of mind for companies and investors by extracting maximum yield from their PV installations. By utilizing professional drone cinematography, we make their craftsmanship visible from high above. From complex steel deck structures to innovative solar carports: we captured the full scope of their expertise in one fluid visual narrative.
Our Approach
Filming large-scale energy projects with drones in 4 phases:
- Phase 1: Location analysis and flight planning (Safety First)
- Phase 2: Creative concept for drone storytelling
- Phase 3: High-end drone filming at various industrial sites
- Phase 4: Post-production and editing with a focus on scale and yield
How we captured Solora’s impact with drone footage
Phase 1: Location analysis and flight planning
Thorough preparation is crucial when filming industrial solar parks. For Solora, we conducted an extensive analysis across several locations:
- Checking no-fly zones and applying for the necessary flight permits.
- Mapping sun positions for the most impressive lighting on the panels.
- Safety briefings for flying over sensitive electrical installations. This phase is essential to guarantee a safe and professional drone video that meets all legal standards.
Phase 2: Creative concept for drone storytelling
A great drone video is more than just 'flying high.' We developed a concept that emphasizes Solora’s strengths:
- Use of both overview shots (wide angles) and technical detail shots of the installations.
- Focus on the diversity of projects: from flat roofs and sloped structures to PV adhesive panels.
- A visual rhythm that reflects the precision and scale of the renewable energy projects.
Phase 3: Drone filming on location
Our certified drone pilots headed to various sites to capture Solora’s expertise:
- Utilization of 4K drones with high dynamic range for crystal-clear images, even in bright sunlight.
- Dynamic flight movements that take the viewer across expansive solar parks and carports.
-
Capturing the maintenance aspect (Operations & Maintenance), which sets Solora apart in the market. Thanks to our experience in industrial videography, we were able to showcase the technical complexity of steel deck and carport structures in an aesthetic and understandable way.
Phase 4: Post-production and editing
In the final phase, we provided an edit that reinforces Solora’s position as a market leader:
- A sleek edit that emphasizes the scale of the projects with a professional look.
- Color grading that makes the blue panels and sunlight pop, aligning with Solora’s branding.
- Subtle graphic additions to further highlight the benefits of their solar energy projects. The result is a powerful video that immediately convinces companies and investors of Solora’s quality and experience.
